Offers ADA-certified Phoenix residents under the age of 65 the opportunity to buy coupons to use to pay for cab trips. Each coupon is worth a dollar, and the $20-coupon books sell at 30 percent of their value, or $6 apiece. Participants can buy a maximum of $40 at that discount, and can purchase an additional $40 at half price; in total, users can buy up to $80 worth of taxi vouchers monthly for $32. The coupons can be used for an entire trip, and can be combined with cash fares to travel further.

The Arizona Spinal Cord Injury Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with spinal cord injuries. Our goal is to promote physical, intellectual, spiritual, emotional and social recovery. The Human Services Department offers a variety of social services to low-income households experiencing crisis. Services are provided through three family services centers, geographically dispersed throughout the city. Each center provides a broad range of assistance with urgent needs including utility, eviction prevention and/or move-in cost assistance. Caseworkers also provide employment, budgeting, social and life-skills development counseling assistance through case management services at the family and senior services centers. These services assist families and adult individuals resolve problems and ultimately achieve self-sufficiency.

This program, offered by City of Phoenix, allows seniors 65 and over who live in Phoenix to buy discounted taxi coupons for 30% of their value. Seniors can buy up to 40 coupons ($1 value) per month at 70% subsidy, and an additional 40 coupons at 50% subsidy. All coupons will expire 6/30/2011.

Offers reduced fare bus passes to youth (ages 6-18), seniors (age 65+), and persons with disabilities and Medicare card holders (must have proof of disability). Reduced fare is $0.85/ride. Ask your doctor to complete the Reduced Fare Application, and call the Customer service line is 602-253-5000 for information on sites that can issue the Reduced Fare ID card. There is a $2.50 fee for the Reduced Fare ID card.

Offers an on-site travel training center, in-person ADA interviews and certification, and information on alternative travel programs. Provides a free travel training program to individuals with a disability and at least one identified route to learn. ADA-certified individuals who live in Avondale, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Peoria, or Tempe can also obtain a free ADA Platinum Pass that provides transportation by bus or lightrail for no cost.
